different characteristics that place them in different taxonomic
groups. An understanding of these groups supports infection
management and informs the patient care plan. Describe the
similarities (nucleic acid, cell membrane/lipid structure,
protein/amino acids) and differences (cellular structures) among
the different microorganisms (eg. prokaryotes vs. eukaryotes).
