A single phase, 60 Hz transformer is rated at 156 kVA, the primary voltage V1 = 2,391V, the secondary voltage V2 = 264 V. The results from the Open Circuit and Short Circuit tests are as follows: Open Circuit test (is conducted on the LV side of the transformer with the HV side open): Voc = 264 V, Ioc = 16 A, Poc = 651 Watts = Short Circuit test is conducted on HV side with LV side short circuited): Vsc = 80 V, ISC VSC = rated HV current is established, Psc = 1,574 Watts = Find the efficiency in % of the above transformer at 8 % load and unity power factor.
