4. A researcher is concerned about the level of knowledge possessed by university students regarding US history. Randomly selected students completed a high school senior level standardized US history exam. Major for students was also recorded. Data in terms of percent correct is recorded below for 32 students.

Major Correct Percentage (%) Education 62 81 75 58 67 48 26 36 Business 72 49 63 68 39 79 40 15 Social Science 42 52 31 80 22 71 68 76 Fine Arts 80 57 87 64 28 29 62 45 With some calculation, we know that the total sum of squares is 12361.5 and the between-group sum of squares is 63.25. (a) Complete an analysis of variance (ANOVA) table for these data and test to determine if there are significant differences of the knowledge of US history among students with different majors (b) Follow up your analysis by a multiple comparison test to identify which, if any, of the majors have signifi- cantly different knowledge about US history.
