(7) To communicate one bit of information reliably, cellular telephones transmit the same bit three times. For example, to transmit "0" the sender sends 000. To transmit a "T" the sender transmits 111. However the communication channel is noisy and though 000 or 111 is transmitted the receiver may receive any one of 000, 001, 010, 011, 100, 101, 110 or 111 due to individual bit errors. Note even if 111 is received it does not mean that 111 was sent as there could have been three individual bit errors. The receiver uses majority rule to interpret what it was transmitted. For example if the receiver receives 101 then the receiver would interpret that "1" was the transmitted hit. Suppose that the probability of a single bit error is 0.1 and that single bit errors are independent Let E denote the event of that a "1" was meant to be transmitted but a "0" is received. Determine Prob(E)
