A researcher formulated two new treatments for stimulating hair growth among bald men. A total of 20 pairs of men were selected such that each pair was matched according to their degree of baldness. In each pair, one person received Treatment A and the other person used Treatment B. After 3 months of using these treatments, the participants' new hair growth was examined using the following ratings: 0 - no growth; 1 - some growth; and 2 - moderate growth.
