A 4-in.-diameter, 12-ft-long solid steel shaft having a
circular cross section is used as a simply supported beam. A
concentrated load P is to be applied at midspan. Calculate the
maximum allowable load P. Consider deflection. The allowable
deflection is 0.50 in. consider the beam weight.(hint: density
times cross section areas equals to weight per length).
