A second order feedback control system has no zeros, two poles
at β0.56 Β± 1.63π and a gain πΎ = 15. (a) Determine the closed-loop
transfer function. (3 marks) (b) If the feedback gain π»(π ) = 1,
determine the open loop gain and draw the block diagram. (4 marks)
(c) For a unit step input, determine the natural frequency, damping
ratio and, if underdamped, the percent overshoot. (3 marks) (d) For
an unit step input, derive the time-domain expression for the
system output using partial fractions.
