The purpose of this project is to assess your ability to create
a database-driven website using PHP and MySQL. The finished project
is a personally-developed database-driven web application. You may
choose any project that meets the requirements discussed below. Use
the following topics to get ideas for your own application. You do
not have to choose any of these topics -- they are provided just to
get you started. Books:Track books, their authors, and categories.
You may include various attributes of the authors, the institutions
they belong to, etc. For example, you can support functionality for
finding books by title, author,ISBN, etc. You can support adding
new books, new editions, deleting old books, etc. Movies: Track
movies, their actors, directors, genres and reviews. Use
appropriate online sources to populate such a database. You can
support various queries such as finding movies starring an specific
actor, directed by a given director, etc. You can also support
updates to the reviews section of the database (e.g., viewers
giving their own opinions). Apartments: Track apartments and their
properties, areas of town and their various properties (e.g., crime
rate, distance from various landmarks). You would provide an
interface for finding appropriate apartments. Surveys and Polls:
Track questions and the opinions of visitors who answer the
questions. Provide reports on the accumulated opinions.

requirements for both a database and web application. These
requirements include:

5. User interface is well organized and easy to use
6. Purpose of the site is easily understood
