Below are the selected pre-dimensions, material strengths and main moment demands (Md) of a rectangular beam section. It is aimed to design the said beam section in such a way that it will not be necessary to perform deflection control and not exceed the reinforcement ratio.
k1=(1-0.006*fck)
a) Calculate the amount of tension reinforcement of the given beam (mm2). (30 P)
b) Calculate the pressure reinforcement of the given beam (mm2). (30 P)
c) Calculate the neutral axis depth of the beam section (mm) (20 P)
d) Calculate the deformation value of the pressure reinforcement in the beam you designed. (20 P)
bw=300 h=550 d'=40 fck=25
fyk=420 Md=870
