SEATWORK: A laterally insulated silver bar, 10cm long, has a thermal conductivity (k) = 1.04 cal / cm – sec – °C, density (p) = 10.6 g / cm3, and specific heat 0.056 cal/g°C . After an initial condition of f(x) = x, the bar is insulated at both ends. a) Write the IBVP Summary with the given data b) Calculate u(x, t) and c) Draw the graph of t = 10 sec on the u(x, t) vs X-plane. d) What is the temperature of the bar at x = 5 cm after 10 seconds from t = 0? e) Will any part of the bar attain 120°C? If so, what point (x value) along the length of the bar. If not, state your reason.
