Name: Section # Problem 2: Make a SolidWorks part file and create a 3D model using the images below. You are required to add a reference plane to your model and use that plane to create a 2D sketch to generate the angled upper plate shown (hint: you can define an offset distance for the starting point of a feature instead of beginning directly from the sketching plane). The upright extension must be generated using an Extruded Boss/Base command with the Up to Surface end condition. Create a drawing file from your part file, add all necessary views (including an auxiliary view), and fully dimension the drawing using conventions and rules demonstrated in lecture (125 Points) To help interpret the figure, use the following: The angle between the top surface of the lower plate and the adjacent surface of the upright extension is 120°: the upright extension should begin on the bottom surface of the upper plate and end on the right surface of the lower plate. • The distance between the top surface of the lower plate and bottom surface of the upper plate is 1.59 inches. • The upper plate's thickness is 0.50 inches, the radius of each round is 0.88 inches, the two holes are 0.75 inches in diameter and concentric with the arc adjacent to it, and their center-to-center separation distance is 1.62 inches The vertically oriented lines on the rounded surfaces are to aid in visualization, they do not need to be generated on your model. All dimensions are in IPS, all sketches must be fully defined. (1 50 points) 120 1.00 1.75 2.00 .50
